Rebar strain meter

The rebar strain meters are used for the purpose of measuring concrete strains due to imposed load. With sufficient rebar strain meters, axial load distribution along the drilled shaft can be determined. The skin friction of different soil layers and end bearing capacity can be determined, too.

 

The rebar strain meters are designed to be welded into, and become an integral part of the existing rebar cage. The cage is then lowered into the hole and the concrete is poured.
